Obedience and Seminars
When we decide to get a pet, we have the best of intentions and faith that everything will go well.
We picture a playful, well behaved dog, cat, horse, or other animal that fits into our lifestyle perfectly. We don't picture it tearing up the laundry, barking at the neighbours, pulling us down the street, scratching or biting us, peeing on the bathroom floor, fearful of noises, refusing to get on our new horse float … or needing more exercise than we ever imagined.
Unfortunately, this is all too often what happens, turning our dreams of pet bliss into a pet nightmare. Many good people fear their only choices are giving up their beloved pet, or suffering for the next 10-15 years. And let's face it, it’s not always a joyride for the animal either!
We can help!
The best way to improve your chances of having a well behaved family pet is to choose the right one in the first place. By finding out about you, your situation and what you're looking for, we can help find the best match for your nature and lifestyle.
Next step is to start training as early as possible, while your dog is an eager wee puppy. Cute puppies grow up fast.
It’s important to start yours out following the same rules that you will expect it to follow as a big dog! Will that behaviour still be cute then? That strong puppy foundation is so important. We are here to help with puppy classes, one to one training, and even phone consultations for tips and advice!
If you already have a pet behaving badly, don’t despair! We have success story after success story working with owners and/or families, to re-train the animal…
And yes, that usually involves some re-training of the family too. The more we can do this in a fast and fun way, the better!
